Accomplishments

1. Strengthening Families Conference with Keynote by Christine James- Brown, President, Child Welfare League of America, and presentations by Barbara Harrison of Channel 4 News, Anwan Glover of The Wire HBO Series, Motivational Speakers Dr. Lonise Bias & Dr. A.D. Reynolds, Wisdom Martin of WTTG Fox 5 News & others

2. A Truancy Prevention Initiative & Summit in collaboration with the Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS), and Prince George’s Community College (PGCC).

3. Implemented the evidence-based Phoenix Gang Prevention and Intervention Model using the Prevention Curriculum.

4. Judy M. DuBose, Ph.D., LMB Director served on the Prince George’s County Gang Prevention Task Force.

5. Implemented a Local Access Mechanism (LAM) designed to be a “Single Point of Access” and “One Stop” Information and Referral service operating 24-hours a day, seven days a week assisting children and their families in accessing appropriate human service programs within the County.

6. Implemented the evidence-based Functional Family Therapy program.

7. Formation of the DMC Data Collaborative.

8. Implemented the only evening after hours School Based Wellness Center in Maryland.
